Random things

So, this post might be a little all over the place but...

Last Tuesday I started weight lifting with my dad in the mornings.  (Meaning I actually have to wake up!)  Every morning I get up at 6, throw my stuff together, put my hair up and go!  We only lift during the week and it's usually around an hour and then 20-30 minutes of cardio.  I guess the point of telling you all this is that, it actually is really fun!  I get to spend a couple hours alone with my dad talking about health and fitness (and I LOVE talking about that).  Getting up at 6am isn't that bad.  I find that once I get moving and we get to the gym and start lifting, I have a lot more energy than I would have thought.  (coming from a girl who could sleep until noon!)

I love that I have found a new routine that allows me to actually get stuff done in the morning after my workout.  I also love working out in the morning.  Weird.

That being said, I have seen a few articles online and watched a few videos on YouTube that talk about working out in the morning being better for you.  It can help start your metabolism for the day as well as burn more calories.  Always a good thing! :)

I haven't weighed myself recently because I haven't been eating the best, but maybe sometime this week I'll find time before I hit the gym in the mornings.  I'm hoping the change in routine has been helping!
