I don't know about you guys, but I know that for me, the hardest part of exercising is getting the motivation to do so. A few days ago, I was chatting with a friend of mine and she happened to stumble across a webpage giving all sorts of tips to help with getting the motivation. I decided that I would share this information with you guys!

1) Pick an interesting audio-book to listen to while exercising. The catch? Only let yourself listen to it while you exercise!
2) You can even try doing #1 with your favorite podcast!
3) Have a smartphone? Download the Fitocracy* app and gamify all of your workouts.
*Fitocracy is an online social community that provides challenges to fire up your inner competitor
4) Workout clothes do matter! Select something body-hugging so that you actually enjoy putting them on.
5) Download Jog.fm to play music from your library to match your pace.
6) New to working out? Make a schedule for the first month and make sure you stick to it.
7) Start your exercise routine with running for one minute, and add on another minute everyday after that. At the end of the first month, you'll be running for a full thirty minutes!
8) Out running with a friend? Unplug the earbuds and talk to each other. This helps regulate your breathing and makes sure you're not over-exerting yourself.
9) Purchase an activity monitor to help you challenge yourself.
10) Find a TV show drinking game, but change the drinks to either ten push-ups or twenty lunges.
11) Do you like to listen to music while working out? Create a playlist that is as long as you plan on working out, that way you won't keep checking the time and it will seem to fly by.
12) Always keep a gym bag in your car or at work, you never know when you'll feel like getting in a quick work-out.
13) If you like to exercise in the morning, sleep in your work-out clothes!
14) Take up drumming!
15) Do something easy and simple while watching TV.
Ex. Hula hooping, jump rope, running man, etc
16) Try out a work-out video from the '80's or '90's
17) Jump on an exercise bike and play your favorite video game.
18) Wear a weighted vest while out running errands.
19) Don't join a gym, but rather pay yourself every time you work-out. Buy yourself something nice with that money every six months.
20) Or just join a really nice gym.
